A friend recently posted a question on Facebook, “Would you rather be loved for who you are not or hated for who you are?”
Let’s be honest here. The little boost in our moods when people “like” what you’ve shared is real. Approval feels good. I’m an introvert but have had some hard earned lessons surrounding my problem with people-pleasing. But in the end, that love or what we think is love for the person we aren’t, doesn’t last and eventually becomes a cage. Turn it down!
Hate me if you must, but I can be myself til the day I die freely. No pressure to perform. No limitations of a pedestal or cage.
